Got some scraps & spare time? That's all it took to throw together a fab Valentine's Day shirt for my kindergarten sweetie. It's even a recycled (errr stained...) t-shirt.
I have little to NO sewing ability sooo it's very likely someone with more skill will have a faster-better way to do this project, but I'll tell ya how I did it anyways :)
I started with a piece of felt cut in a heart shape. Then I scavenged tons of scrap ribbon, fabric & buttons from my craft room, seriously no piece is too small for this. The next step is to simply let you imagination & creativity run wild! Randomly stitch/tack/sew your scraps to the felt until it's covered. I created simple yo-yos with the fabric & gathered a lot of the ribbon for extra fluff. Finish up by sewing (or in my case break out the fabric glue) the heart to a shirt. If you want to go the extra mile slap some of those scraps on a headband for an extra cute accessory. Voila! A seriously cute Valentine shirt that is sure to WOW everyone that sees it :)
